The Flex RN provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process and standards of practice, maintaining overall accountability for assigned patients while floating to ICU or areas holding ICU level patients. This role also involves performing all staff nurse activities, potentially functioning as a charge nurse, and operating in an emergency response role as the Rapid Response Team.
Required education includes an Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing, with a requirement for new hires after a specific date to obtain a BSN within three years. Candidates must possess current Florida RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, along with 1-2 years of acute care experience and 3-5 years of critical care experience.
