As a Speech Language Pathologist, the role involves helping patients restore their ability to communicate and swallow by designing and executing effective therapy plans to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. Responsibilities also include the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, training patients and caregivers, and collaborating with peers.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similarly titled area acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Additionally, the applicant must be licensed, certified, or credentialed as required by the state where the practice takes place.

1. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 2. Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.
