The technologist assists physicians during invasive cardiac procedures, functioning as a radiologic technologist and/or scrub assistant. This role includes performing hemodynamic monitoring and procedural charting, as well as assisting with patient care, transportation, and preparation.
Required qualifications include a High School diploma or G.E.D., licensure in Radiology by the State of Illinois (IEMA), ARRT Registry, and CPR certification. Candidates must also possess knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles acquired through two years of training in an approved radiologic technology school.
