About the role

The technologist assists physicians during invasive cardiac procedures, functioning as a radiologic technologist and/or scrub assistant. This role includes performing hemodynamic monitoring and procedural charting, as well as assisting with patient care, transportation, and preparation.

Expected pay for this position is $33.85 - $44.30/hour.

Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an hourly position.

Position Summary

Assists physicians with performance of invasive cardiac procedures, serving as a radiologic technologist and/or scrub assistant, performing hemodynamic monitoring and procedural charting. Assists in the care, transportation and preparation of patients.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Licensure/
  • Certification:
  • Licensed in Radiology by the State of Illinois Division of Nuclear Safety (IEMA)
  • Requires Registry from ARRT
  • CPR certification required.
  • Other
  • Skills/
  • Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as acquired through completion of 2 years training in an approved school of radiologic technology required.
  • General computer knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Successful completion of EKG arrhythmia course preferred. Licensure/ Certification:

Requirements

Required qualifications include a High School diploma or G.E.D., licensure in Radiology by the State of Illinois (IEMA), ARRT Registry, and CPR certification. Candidates must also possess knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles acquired through two years of training in an approved radiologic technology school.
