Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Assists with pre-procedure education and preparing patients for procedure.
Collaborates with other staff to assure the patient has a thorough understanding of procedure and is able to answer questions as needed.
Assures the patient is positioned properly for the procedure.
Assures EKG electrodes are properly placed and cardiac electrodes correctly applied Assures skin is prepped and sterilized appropriately prior to procedural draping Sets up patient and sterile equipment in accordance to the performing physician’s preferences.
Assists physicians in sterile placement of invasive and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
Uses fine motor skills to assist physician with the placement/deployment/use of invasive catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, Intra-aortic balloon counter-pulsation equipment, percutaneous left ventricular assist devices, implantable cardiac devices, and electrophysiology catheters/3-D intra-cardiac conduction mapping.
Performs monitoring function throughout procedures.
Documents clinical information in patient record Performs arterial and/or venous sheath removal utilizing deployment of closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression and transport patients.
Performs daily maintenance, quality assurance testing, equipment cleaning, and supply re-stocking.
Effectively communicates and works cooperatively with team members, patients, families, guests, and providers..

Job Requirements Required Medical Radiographer: NE, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months and Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
