Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.

Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility.

You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.

These procedures may include but are not limited to: injections, EKGs, ear lavage and blood draws, measuring patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature),manage rooming and patient flow including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties.

You will inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow, assist with front office activities and varied scheduling tasks and reports test results as directed by the provider.

Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) Knowledge of third party payer requirements required.

Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills Skill in using a PC Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.

This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred

One year Medical Assistant – Certified experience preferred.

Requirements

Required qualifications include an Associate degree in Nursing, at least one year of acute care RN experience, and valid Arizona or compact state RN licensure. Candidates must also possess American Heart Association certifications for ACLS and BLS, and demonstrate basic EKG competency.
