The Navigator RN will provide direct patient care and comprehensive coordination of services for patients and their support systems, focusing on eliminating barriers to timely care and facilitating smooth system flow. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility. #CHIMSRES22 Job Summary and Responsibilities As our PCU Nurse at Good Samaritan Hosptial, you will help critically ill patients by providing exceptional care, monitoring and managing their conditions, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Every day you will be helping patients recover from surgery, accidents, illness, or complications from chronic conditions, with the goal of transfer or discharge.
To be successful in this role, you must be diligent and observant, with the ability to quickly spot changes in their patients’ condition and act appropriately.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing team to devise and implement individualized care plans for patients Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation Educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits, while fostering a supportive and compassionate environment We are offering up to $15,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 educational assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements Required Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state Basic Life Support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 5 months of hire
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Nursing degree and have a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience, along with a current and valid California Registered Nurse license. Essential requirements also include Basic Life Support certification and mandatory reporter training for both adults and children.
