Job Requirements Required · 6 months experience in a medical office/clinic or graduation from an accredited Medical Administrative Assistant, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program. · Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) through the State of Washington, sponsored by Virginia Mason, required within 60 days of hire. · BLS-RQI · Knowledge of medical terminology · Professional demeanor with a positive, upbeat attitude, strong communication skills · Excellent organizational and interpersonal communications. · Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
Capable to work independently with minimal supervision. · Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrative and clinical staff, leaders, patients and physicians
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Medical Assisting program and hold a Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) credential. Knowledge of third-party payer requirements and strong organizational skills are required, while one year of experience is preferred.
