The Certified Pharmacy Technician will support patient medication needs by processing and dispensing specialty prescriptions, including sterile compounding. Responsibilities also involve managing inventory, performing administrative and financial tasks, and communicating therapy details to patients.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, be a Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state of employment, and hold an active CPT-EXCPT, CPT-PTCB, or CPHT certification. A minimum of six months of experience compounding IV medication is also required.
Prepare and compound various medications, including intravenous admixtures. Apply pharmacy standards and procedures, including I.V. admixture and automated systems. Communicate effectively in English and establish positive working relationships.
