The Licensed Clinical Social Worker performs social work assessments and interventions for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients, including crisis intervention and brief counseling. Responsible for a continuum of treatment by providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedicand other physically-related disorders requiring strengthening, modalities, manual therapy,neuromuscular re-education and training in activities in daily living under the supervision of a licensedoccupational therapist.
Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of thepatient.
Participates in professional responsibilities, including documentation, program development,teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills.
Job Requirements In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program, Required BLS through the American Heart Association, Required Occupational Therapy Assistant licenseure in UT, Required Previous work experience providing direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient or inpatient rehab unit preferred.
Ability to perform basic treatments of orthopedic, neurological, medical, and psychiatric patients.
Basic splinting knowledge, preferred Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred Shift- Monday- Thursday, 9am-6:30pm
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from a Council of Social Work Education accredited school of social work and have a minimum of 2 years of post-MSW experience, with 5 years preferred in a healthcare setting. A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license corresponding to the state of practice is required.
