The Respiratory Therapist will perform respiratory procedures under physician direction across all patient areas, taking responsibility for patient assessments, care plan development, implementation, and necessary revisions to the therapy plan. They must collaborate with other disciplines to ensure efficient care delivery and achieve desired patient outcomes while utilizing knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity.
Candidates are required to have completed an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program and must possess current state Licensure (RLT), NBRC CRT certification, BLS, and current ACLS certification, with NRP and PALS required upon hire or within six months. While a High School Diploma is required and an Associate's Degree is preferred, one year of respiratory therapy experience and prior EMR use are preferred.
