The MRI Technologist operates a magnetic resonance scanner to capture images for physician diagnosis and treatment, which includes obtaining patient history and explaining procedures. Responsibilities also involve maintaining patient records, performing quality assurance on the scanner, and ensuring quality patient care according to protocols.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and possess required licensure such as MRAD:KY, RTR, or other specified certifications, along with current BLS-CPR certification. Previous experience in MRI is preferred, and the role requires demonstrating knowledge appropriate for the age of patients served.
