The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing treatment in Kaiser Permanente clinical oncology departments. Essential duties include performing comprehensive patient assessments before provider appointments and chemotherapy appointments to gather necessary information for the visit.
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of current Pediatric Oncology experience, including chemotherapy administration, and must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Required credentials include a Maryland RN license and a DC RN license (or Compact License) within six months of hire, plus BLS certification at hire.
To provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing treatment in Kaiser Permanente clinical oncology departments.
Performs comprehensive patient assessment prior to appointments with providers and appointments for chemotherapy to identify essential information for that visit. Provides ongoing assessment as appropriate during the course of the patients visit.
Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Certificate preferred. BSN preferred.
Certified Residential Medication Aide/Personal Support Specialist (CRMA/PSS)
Domestic and Sexual Violence Counselor
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
Wound care Registered Nurse, RN or LPN
Ophthalmic Technician
Resident Care Associate
