The Inpatient Oncology unit is a 23-bed area providing specialized, holistic nursing care to cancer patients and their families using a multidisciplinary approach. This care focuses on cancer and cancer-related complications, including end-of-life care for patients with new, active, or historical cancer diagnoses.

Responsibilities

Inpatient Oncology is a 23-bed unit that provides holistic, specialized nursing care to patients and their families using a multidisciplinary approach.The unit focuses on cancer and cancer related complications as well as end of life care. The unit provides care to patients with a new cancer diagnosis, active cancer diagnosis and patients with a history of cancer. For chemotherapy administration, nurses obtain a certification through Oncology Nursing Society.

Qualifications

Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required. 2-years of experience required for weekend incentive pay position

Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid North Carolina RN License or a Compact State RN License. A minimum of two years of experience is required specifically for this position offering weekend incentive pay.
