The Medical Assistant is crucial during patient visits, supporting the dermatologist by accompanying them in the room and ensuring a friendly and efficient environment for all parties. Essential functions include rooming patients, documenting vital information, scribing, providing post-operative wound care, drawing blood, and removing sutures.
Candidates need a minimum of post-high-school education in a medical support field, such as a Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN, with recent experience in a medical office preferred. Applicants must maintain current state certifications and be proficient with computers and EMR systems.
