The Certified Nursing Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients. This role also involves assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education, Training or Certifications Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Current BLS Provider Status. Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing. Completes a Monitor course through MDIH or provides another arrhythmia course certificate and competency is validated. Experience Required: Recent training/experience in medical terminology and training/expertise with delivering patient care. Special Requirements: Basic computer skills preferred. Cognitive Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Ability for high performance under stressful situations. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and follow through. Physical Demands: Able to stand/work for most of an 8-12 hour shift. Must be able to bend/lift 25-50 lbs (assisting patients in and out of bed, etc.).
