This role involves providing in-home services, including assessment, training, and monitoring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, often in times of crisis or to address specific behavioral concerns. The assistant also conducts behavioral assessments, participates in developing individualized habilitative plans, and coordinates interventions with other service providers.
Minimum requirements include a BA/BS Degree in Psychology or Human Services or a closely related field, plus at least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges. Candidates must possess exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills, and must be willing to travel routinely across NYC.
