The Veterinary Internist will support family veterinarians by managing complex outpatient internal medicine cases through directed referrals, providing high-level services including consultations, ultrasound, and endoscopy. They will also partner closely with practitioners to ensure seamless continuity of care between specialty and family veterinary services.
Candidates must be ACVIM board-certified or board-eligible in Small Animal Internal Medicine and possess an active Virginia DVM License by the start date. The role requires a collaborative spirit, a passion for team-based care, strong communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based medicine.
