The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with attending physicians and other APPs to provide direct patient care, including performing consultations, collecting and documenting data, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Key duties involve collecting patient histories, conducting physical exams, ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies, and providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care.
Nurse Practitioners and Certified Nurse Midwives require a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program, while Physician Assistants must be certified by the NCCPA. A minimum of 2 years of work experience in Women's Health, particularly High-Risk Obstetrics, is preferred, and all roles require RN licensure in North Carolina and a DEA license.

Collect patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in patient’s record; write progress notes; prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings; obtain psychosocial history relevant to patient care, and assume responsibility for developing therapeutic relationships with patients. Order, schedule and review laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
