The Medical Office Specialist provides clinical and medical office support to physicians and surgeons, assisting with patient care and necessary administrative duties to ensure quality care delivery. This role involves participating in direct patient care activities under the supervision of an RN/LPN or MD as part of the health team.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma/GED and a Medical Assistant Certification from an approved school, along with two years of experience working as a medical assistant. A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross is required, and licensure as a Phlebotomist or EKG technician is preferred.
The Medical Office Specialist offers clinical and medical office support to physicians and surgeons. Assists in patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Performs various duties as a member of the health team in the treatment and care of patient and their families and also assists with tasks to support the unit. Participates and supports the health team in the direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN or MD.
