Candidates must possess the equivalent of a high school diploma or GED, along with state-mandated training courses for certification or licensure, such as coronal polish or x-ray exposure. A strong ability to lead others, maintain strict confidentiality, and ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and regulatory bodies like OSHA and HIPAA is required.

Train and coach all other dental assistants in order to ensure they can perform to their best ability Manage patient flow to maximize the experience for the patient as well as creating an efficient, effective day for the dentist Perform duties in accordance with the applicable state’s Dental allowable functions Develop the dental assistant team through support of learning plans and expansion of individual knowledge with regards to clinical technology and skill sets Integrate specialty dental assistants into the team effectively Manage infection control, sterilization and disinfection processes for all products, equipment, and patient rooms in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines Maintain a clean and sterile workplace creating an atmosphere where your patients feel comfortable assist the doctors Maintain appropriate and adequate general and specialty clinical supply in the dental practice; while simultaneously remain fiscally responsible by adhering to the established budget Educate team on basic maintenance, as appropriate and ensure maintenance procedures are performed in a timely manner
Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration as mandated by applicable state (e.g. coronal polish, x-ray exposure, pit and fissure sealant application, etc) Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as business periodicals, professionals journals, technical procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and governmental regulations Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, State Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices) Ability to direct the work of others and work as a team leader in attainment of goals Ability to handle and maintain extreme confidentially with employee records, compensation information, etc Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
