The Dental Assistant supports the Dentist during procedures by preparing patients, sterilizing and delivering instruments, mixing materials, and recording medical and dental histories. Key duties also involve taking x-rays, educating patients on oral hygiene, providing postoperative instructions, and managing clinic supplies and documentation in the EHR.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and be a graduate of a Dental Assistant Program or hold an Associate's Degree. A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, along with mandatory bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
