Position: Psychiatrist at Altru Behavioral Health
The Psychiatrist's role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients at Altru, providing comprehensive care for injuries and illnesses. The Psychiatrists' responsibilities include counseling patients on preventive healthcare measures and exercising professional judgment in alignment with Altru’s policies and standards. The position requires achieving annual Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals, supporting department objectives, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation to ensure quality patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
Evaluates, provides diagnosis and treatment of patients of Altru who present with injuries or illnesses. Counsels patients and advises on preventative healthcare measures.
Exercises Doctor's own judgment in the diagnosis and treatment of patients consistent with Altru’s policies and standards.
Achieves the Altru Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals established on an annual basis. Participates in activities and support department goals as defined by department on an annual basis.
This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
