Nocturnist Physician St. Elizabeth Physicians | Northern Kentucky / Greater Cincinnati Region St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our expanding, high‑performing hospital medicine team. As one of the region’s leading physician‑led organizations, we deliver 24/7 care to more than 500 acutely ill patients across four hospitals—and we’re looking for a nocturnist who shares our commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care. A 2025 start date is preferred, though alternative timelines are welcome. Role Overview The nocturnist will work 7 pm – 7 am, partnering closely with our experienced nocturnist APP team to manage admissions and provide high‑quality inpatient care across med‑surg, TCU, and medical ICU units. What You’ll Do Lead the admission process for patients requiring hospitalization, ensuring timely, thorough evaluation and safe transitions of care. Perform comprehensive assessments, including history‑taking, physical exams, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Initiate and manage evidence‑based treatment plans, including pharmacologic therapies and coordination of specialty consultations. Collaborate with a diverse team of specialists, nurses, and APPs to deliver seamless, multidisciplinary care. Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing updates, education, and support during hospitalization. Utilize strong clinical judgment to navigate complex medical decision‑making in the acute care setting. Perform bedside procedures as appropriate; procedural skills are welcomed and supported. What You Bring MD or DO with completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency. Board Certified or Board Eligible in your specialty. Eligibility for Kentucky medical licensure. Strong communication skills, clinical confidence, and a commitment to delivering exceptional inpatient care.
