Work Shift Wellstar Medical Group is actively seeking a PRN Physician Assistant to join our expanding Cardiac Surgery Program.
This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider with at least two years of experience, preferably including cardiac surgery.
Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care across all peri-operative phases for cardiac surgery patients Utilize EMR systems (EPIC experience preferred) to document and manage patient care Contribute to a dynamic team environment focused on quality, patient safety, and excellent outcomes About Our Cardiac Surgery Program: A high-volume program performing over 1,000 cardiac surgeries annually A team comprising three surgeons and seven APPs Services include coronary revascularization, major aortic surgery, traditional and minimally invasive valve procedures, surgical atrial fibrillation ablation, and ventricular assist device implantation Utilizes the Maquet endoscopic vessel harvesting system' Our Commitment to Excellence: Wellstar Kennestone is proud to be the only cardiac surgery program in Georgia with these prestigious designations: Perennial 2-Star STS rating for CABG Joint Commission Gold Seal Certification in CABG and Valve Repair & Replacement Advanced Certification in Ventricular Assist Devices Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current PA license and NCCPA certification Minimum of 2 years of relevant advanced practice experience, preferably in cardiac surgery Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Enthusiasm for learning and professional growth Why Wellstar?

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a current PA license and NCCPA certification is required. A minimum of 2 years of relevant advanced practice experience, preferably in cardiac surgery, is also necessary.
