Associate Therapist (AMFT, ACSW, APCC)

A Place to Turn (APTT) | Westlake Village & Pasadena & Beverly Hills | Hybrid

A Place to Turn is a growing, holistic group practice rooted in mind-body-spirit integration. We provide curated client matches, strong clinical support, and a structured environment where associate therapists can truly grow.

We’re looking for clinicians who want more than just a job—those seeking long-term development, mentorship, and a collaborative team.

  • ✨ What You’ll Do
  • Provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families
  • Support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relational challenges
  • Build a caseload (goal: 20+ clients/week within 6 months)
  • Complete timely, high-quality clinical documentation
  • Participate in weekly supervision (group + triadic as needed)
  • Collaborate with a supportive clinical team

What We Offer

  • Steady client referrals (we help fill your caseload)
  • Billing, credentialing, and admin assistance
  • Beautiful office space + hybrid flexibility
  • Structured supervision and training
  • Growth within a mission-driven, holistic practice
  • Compensation (CA Pay Transparency)
  • W-2 position with standardized hourly session pay: $42.50/hour for all client sessions (insurance and private pay)
  • Administrative hourly pay provided for required activities, including:
  • Clinical supervision (group and triadic)
  • Required meetings and administrative tasks
  • Performance-based growth opportunity:
  • Associates who maintain 20+ client hours/week for 3 consecutive months may be eligible for a $5/hour increase
  • All required work time is compensated in alignment with California employment law
  • Why You’ll Love This Job
  • You don’t have to build your practice alone — we provide referrals and aligned client matches
  • You’ll be supported, not siloed — consistent supervision and a collaborative team
  • You’ll grow as a clinician — real development, not just hours toward licensur
  • You’ll have clarity and consistency — structure that helps you succeed
  • You’ll be paid fairly for your time — including supervision and required admin work
  • You’ll be part of something meaningful — a purpose-driven, intentional clinical community
  • ✨ What Makes APTT Different
  • Structured on purpose—not chaotic
  • Thoughtful client-therapist matching to support your strengths
  • Supervision that develops you clinically, not just fulfills requirements
  • Holistic + clinically grounded approach (mind, body, and spirit)
  • Long-term team vision, not a revolving-door practice
  • Culture of accountability, growth, and professionalism
  • Expectations
  • Consistent weekly availability (Fridays required; Saturdays as needed)
  • Maintain ~15 seen clients/week minimum
  • Reliable attendance, especially during first 90 days
  • Active participation in supervision and team structure
  • Commitment to a long-term role
  • Ideal Candidate
  • Reliable, organized, and accountable
  • Warm, professional communicator
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Open to feedback, supervision, and clinical growth
  • Interested in holistic / integrative therapy approaches

Requirements

  • Registered Associate with CA BBS (AMFT, ACSW, APCC)
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Strong clinical and documentation skills
  • Not a Fit If
  • You’re working at another group practice
  • Seeking short-term or highly flexible work only
  • Not open to structured supervision and team collaboration

Market context

California respiratory care roles stay competitive

California allied-health employers often look for respiratory therapists because hospitals and acute-care settings need coverage across inpatient, emergency, and critical care units. These roles are competitive because employers usually want a CoARC-accredited graduate degree, a California Respiratory Care Practitioner license, RRT or CRT certification, and recent experience. Before applying, confirm your license and certification details match the posting; job requirements and benefits here are AI-summarized from the original job description, saving you research time.
