Responsibilities

• TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians.
• The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services.
• The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents.

• The Pharmacist compounds and dispenses medication pursuant to physician orders; monitors drug therapy for appropriateness of drug, dose, route and duration of therapy; and screens for drug interactions, compatibilities and contraindications.
• Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• For third shift, one year experience in hospital pharmacy is required.
• For all other shifts, previous hospital experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests, communicate effectively, and work independently.
• Must be able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
