The Intake Coordinator RN performs Initial Medical Screening Assessments for incoming patients as part of the Assessment & Referral Team. This role involves coordinating with Medical Staff to direct patients toward an appropriate level of care.
Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, including patient assessment and treatment planning. Required licensure includes an active RN license in California, current CPR/AED certification, and successful completion of CPI training within 90 days.
Associate’s degree in nursing required. Bachelor’s Level Degree preferred; Master's in social work, psychology or related mental health field, PhD and PsyD candidates in terminal degree programs with Masters equivalent or a degree from an accredited program in nursing preferred.
Minimum one (1) year direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, with direct experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations.
