The assistant will serve as the first point of contact, triaging incoming patients, providing support, and assisting with treatments, nursing care, and diagnostics alongside credentialed staff. Responsibilities also include supporting anesthesia cases, managing fluid and medication administration, and participating in patient rounds to ensure continuity of care.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and candidates should ideally have 1+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant, with emergency or specialty experience being a bonus. Applicants must possess basic computer skills, excellent communication abilities, fine motor skills, and the physical capacity to stand for long periods and lift significant weight, while being available for nights, weekends, and holidays.
