The Physical Therapist performs patient assessments and implements individualized treatment programs based on physician referrals and patient age. They coordinate care with healthcare teams, supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, and maintain detailed medical records.
Requires a degree from an approved Physical Therapy school, with either a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or a Master's/Doctorate degree. Must be licensed to practice in Virginia and obtain AHA BLS certification within six months of employment.
Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required. BLS-certified (from a Carilion approved program) within six months of employment.
