Summary: Evaluate, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. Provides education to staff, patients, and families. Actively participates in performance improvement, outcomes measurement, program development, interdisciplinary committees as well as provides input into selection and purchase of supplies and equipment. Maintains standards of productivity necessary to assist Manager and department with maintaining financial viability and accountability. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or be eligible during the clinical fellowship year. A valid Speech/Language Pathology license in the state of work is mandatory, along with required adult inpatient experience and specialized knowledge in areas like dysphagia and voice treatment.
