About the role

Provide comprehensive medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages, including low-risk OB services and inpatient care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care while maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality.

Description Weiser Memorial Hospital - rated as one of Idaho's best places to work - is hiring a physician for our Family Medical Center. Our physicians are responsible for providing comprehensive medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages, addressing a wide range of medical and psychosocial concerns. This role involves collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality care while maintaining patient confidentiality, clear communication, and professionalism.

Key duties include fostering effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring sensitivity to diverse cultural and developmental needs, and maintaining confidentiality. The physician works with other medical professionals, delegates tasks as appropriate, and engages in problem-solving and conflict resolution to support a positive team dynamic.

A healthy work-life balance is emphasized with a 4-day clinic work week, allowing for personal time while continuing to provide exceptional patient care. In addition to clinic responsibilities, this role includes inpatient care with a 1:4 week call schedule, which may involve some occasional overnight shifts, though we aim to support the team to ensure balanced workload distribution. Low-risk OB services are available with C-sections being performed as part of the hospital's capabilities.

As a physician at our Family Medical Center, you will have access to a wide range of additional services locally, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, and Podiatry, all available for consultation and collaboration, further enhancing your ability to provide comprehensive care.

Ongoing professional development, including participation in meetings, continuing education, and performance improvement initiatives, is essential.

As a member of Weiser Memorial Hospital, the physician is expected to adhere to service excellence standards, provide compassionate care, and comply with hospital policies and safety protocols.
