The physical therapist is responsible for accurately assessing, differentially diagnosing, and identifying deficits in a patient's ability to move and perform daily functional activities. They must develop individualized treatment plans with patient-centered goals focused on reducing pain, restoring function, preventing disability, and working with the patient to prevent mobility loss.
Candidates are required to be graduates of an accredited physical therapy program and hold current state Board of Physical Therapy licensure along with BLS certification. Preferred qualification includes one year of prior physical therapist experience.
