The Surgical Tech III is responsible for maintaining an orderly surgical field and efficiently passing instruments to the surgeon. They also assist in ordering supplies, conduct training, and collaborate with clinical leadership to improve workflow.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a surgical technology training program. A minimum of four years of surgical tech experience is required, with certification as a CST being a substitute for two years of experience.
Demonstrates through clinical practice a clear understanding of sterile techniques and has a working knowledge of the specialized instrumentation and equipment required for a variety of specialty procedures. Demonstrates competency to operate all specialty instruments, supplies, and equipment to at least one tertiary specialty service.
Four (4) years surgical tech experience. (CST and two (2) years ofsurgical tech experience may substitute for the required experience).
