The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with attending physicians to provide direct inpatient care for hematologic malignancy and cellular therapy patients. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, and conducting procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with appropriate state licensure and certification. Recent graduates are welcome to apply, and experience in Hematology/Oncology is preferred.
Bone Marrow Biopsies Lumbar Puncture with and without intrathecal chemotherapy Ommaya Access with and without intrathecal chemotherapy Punch skin biopsy with simple suture.
See scheduled and unscheduled patients. Attend program required meetings. Maintain up to date clinical and professional knowledge via approved CME. Protect patient confidentiality, maintain ethics and abide by North Carolina laws and Duke Health System policies. Maintain institutional requirements for compliance.
