The Emergency Department is always ready to help patients and their families in their time of need and has met the stringent requirements set forth by the American College of Surgeons to become a verified Level II Trauma Center. This means Mercy Hospital’s Emergency Department is fully prepared to provide 24/7 critical care through immediate service, superior care, and peace of mind.
By joining the Emergency Department team at Mercy Hospital as an RN, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. This is a busy department that handles a wide variety of cases each day, allowing you plenty of exposure and the chance to enhance your skills during each shift.
00AM - 7:00PM, 7:00PM - 7:00AM, 11:00AM - 11:00PM or 3:00PM - 3:00AM. Working a minimum of 48 hours per 6-week period and one holiday based on the nursing unit needs is required.
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
