The role involves performing various duties supporting Perioperative Services, Anesthesia, ASU, OB, Cath Lab, and Interventional locations, including handling, cleaning, and maintaining related equipment and supplies. This position also requires assisting nursing personnel with patient care and performing Operating Room Assistant duties, including being on-call as needed.
Position reports to the Manager, OR Service Group or Manager, Outpatient Surgery Center or Designee, perform a variety of duties in support of the Perioperative Services, Anesthesia, ASU, OB, Cath Lab and Interventional locations including but not limited to handling, cleaning and maintenance of perioperative, endoscopy and anesthesia equipment and supplies, assisting perioperative and anesthesia team. Assist nursing personnel in providing patient care and related duties within assigned areas. Perform ORA duties including on-call as needed or required.
Equal to completion of four years of high school. One-year clinical experience in an accredited hospital with preferred OR experience or a Certified Nursing Assistant or the equivalent knowledge and experience required. Knowledge of Medical Terminology as related to the perioperative setting is required. A minimum of one (1) year related work experience is required.. Current BLS/CPR certification required. Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent knowledge and experience required. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Candidates must have completed four years of high school and possess at least one year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital, preferably with OR experience, or hold a Certified Nursing Assistant certification. Required knowledge includes Medical Terminology related to the perioperative setting, and a current BLS/CPR certification is mandatory.
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $18.36 - USD $29.70 /Hr.
