About the role

The Medical Assistant II supports physicians and surgeons by performing clinical office tasks and necessary patient care and administrative duties to ensure quality patient care delivery. Key tasks involve basic patient rooming, performing EKGs, conducting Point of Care Testing, and documenting within the EPIC system.

Medical Assistant II-Multispecialty-Yonkers, NY-Full Time-Day-Offsite

The Medical Assistant II provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Focus of tasks include basic rooming of patient, EKGs, Point of Care Testing, EPIC documentation. In addition to general experience, the MA II should have at least 2+ years experience in a specialized area such as phlebotomy, pulmonary testing, surgery or cardiology.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma/GED and a Medical Assistant certificate from an approved school, along with a minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Assistant. A required BCLS certification issued by the AHA must also be held, and the MA II should have 2+ years of experience in a specialized area like phlebotomy, pulmonary testing, surgery, or cardiology.
