The technologist is responsible for maintaining a clean and supplied work area, checking and reporting equipment issues, and performing quality control on assigned equipment. They must also verify patient identification, ensure proper patient preparation, assist with positioning, and communicate clearly with patients and families regarding procedures.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in radiologic technology or graduation from an AMA-approved school, along with required certifications including ARRT, Texas State Licensure, Texas Medical Board certification, and AHA/ARC Basic Life Support certification. Two years of mammography experience and ARRT Mammography registry are preferred.
