The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides therapy treatment to patients experiencing developmental, physical, cognitive, and/or emotional impairments under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. This role requires adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and be licensed or licensure-eligible as a COTA in New Mexico. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire before providing direct patient care, and one year of related experience is preferred.
Provides therapy treatment to patients with developmental, physical, cognitive, and/or emotional impairments, disabilities, and/or handicaps under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
