About the role

The Research Laboratory Technician performs laboratory procedures such as blood harvesting and urine monitoring according to protocol, and collects/harvests plasma, serum, and other required laboratory specimens. They also monitor specimen collection from study subjects and ensure all procedures and processing areas are kept neat and organized.

The Research Laboratory Technician performs laboratory procedures such as blood harvesting and urine monitoring according to protocol as assigned. Works with coordinators in assuring the smooth and orderly flow of procedures in the Clinics, Lab and Urine Monitoring areas.

What You'll Do

Collect and harvest plasma, serum, and all other required laboratory specimens according to protocol specifications.

Monitor the collection of urine and/or fecal specimens from subjects participating in studies.

Complete all required study documents and undergo training on special equipment per protocol as needed.

Assure that all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work is performed in in a clinical environment.

Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.

Required Availability (Lab "All Shifts")

This position is a per diem role, requiring flexibility to work across all shift types: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Training

Requirement: All new employees must complete a mandatory training period during the 1st shift (typically 7:00

AM - 3:00 PM) for the first month of employment.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by the department schedule.

Ability to respond to on-call requests and cover shifts on short notice is essential.

Willingness to rotate shifts and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
