  • Summary: St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer for our Diagnostic Imaging department located within the Edgewood Hospital.
  • Shift/Hours: Full-Time – 40 hours/week, Day Shift First Shift

The Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing cardiovascular studies on patients that support diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Performs, records, and reports Non-Invasive Vascular and/or adult Echocardiography procedures using specialized equipment. Both echo and vascular sonography may be performed during the course of a normal work day. The position provides flexibility in staffing sites with modality needs. Must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. A general job description can be provided upon request. Qualifications Education, Credentials, Licenses: Graduate of an accredited (or accreditation eligible) cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience in accordance with IAC guidelines. (New graduates are given consideration to achieve the IAC minimum study requirements.) Registration: Registered in Cardiac or Vascular Imaging from ARDMS or CCI Must obtain 2nd registry within 24 months of employment. New graduates will have 1 year to obtain one of the two registries. 2nd registry must be obtained within 24 months of employment. Specialized Knowledge: Knowledgeable of Vascular and Cardiac Hemodynamics Proficient with use of cardiac and vascular testing equipment. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Right Career. Right Here. Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound degree program or have qualifying experience according to IAC guidelines, and must be Registered in Cardiac or Vascular Imaging from ARDMS or CCI. A second registry must be obtained within 24 months of employment, or within 1 year for new graduates obtaining their first registry.
