LPN - Practical Nurse

• Cass County is seeking a dedicated full-time LPN - Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team at the Cass County Jail in North Dakota. This full-time nursing position offers a competitive salary of $53,966/year, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes:

YOUR DAY

• As an LPN - Practical Nurse, you will engage collaboratively with correctional staff to ensure continuity of care for patients.
• You will initiate your day by reviewing patient information and coordinating with medical practitioners for necessary orders.
• Throughout your shift, you will administer prescribed medications and treatments, conduct vital sign assessments, and respond to emergency medical situations when required.
• You will also be responsible for triaging officer intake screenings, accurately documenting patient care in a timely manner, and assisting in educating patients regarding facility policies and discharge planning.
• Your duties will extend to maintaining compliance with infection control protocols, working knowledge of pharmacology, and recommendations for improved procedures and supplies.
• Additionally, you may have the opportunity to mentor new staff and participate in educational sessions.

• What we need from you
• Active North Dakota LPN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong documentation capabilities and attention to detail
• Comprehensive understanding of the LPN scope of practice
• Knowledge of infection control principles and patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Familiarity with pharmacological practices and nutritional guidelines relevant to patient care
