The Nursing Assistant provides personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse, performing tasks related to activities of daily living such as self-care needs, nutrition, hydration, and elimination. This role also involves taking vital signs and reporting the patient's status and concerns to the RN.
Candidates are preferred to have a High School Education/GED or a Bachelor's Degree, and while a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire in Hawaii. Additional preferred qualifications include Phlebotomy Certification and training in Audiometry and vision.
