The Staff Nurse Practitioner provides medical evaluations and treatment for adult and adolescent patients with chronic and acute health issues, utilizing primary care expertise to deliver high-quality healthcare and medical education. This role involves integrated, team-based clinical care, ensuring coordinated medical, behavioral health, addictions, legal, and nutritional services within a medical home model.
Candidates must possess excellent knowledge of primary care standards, strong clinical and communication skills, and the ability to provide culturally sensitive services, specifically applying knowledge to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender health issues. Required credentials include a license to practice medicine in Washington, DC, DC DEA Certification, and a DC Controlled Substance License.
