The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a direct role in patient care by serving residents in a safe environment to promote long-term recovery, partnering with leadership to maintain a therapeutic setting. Responsibilities include administering medication under physician direction, ensuring treatment plan adherence, performing diagnostic testing, and coordinating client appointments and referrals.
The primary requirement is being licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse and complying with Medication-Assisted Treatment program protocols, for which training is provided. Additional duties involve educating clients on medical matters, coordinating prenatal care for pregnant patients, and assisting in staff training on health and safety topics.
