The technician conducts routine tests for disease diagnosis and treatment, adhering to established standards and practices. This includes analyzing routine test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technical program or hold an Associate's Degree. Successful completion of the ASCP Certification test or equivalent within six months of hire is mandatory, failure to pass results in termination.
Conduct routine tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, and performs related duties following established standards and practices. Analyzes routine test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Establishes, maintains cooperative relationships with patients, physicians, pathologists, staff, and other individuals. Relies on guidelines and education to complete job and works under general supervision.
