The Medical Administrative Assistant handles non-clinical administrative and clerical duties for assigned physicians and physician extenders, including managing telephone calls, correspondence, and various clerical functions. This role also involves acting as a primary contact for consultations and coordinating the physician's schedule, meetings, and necessary documentation.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a preference for graduation from an accredited business school in medical administration. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in a healthcare EMR environment interacting with providers, along with excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
