Radiology Technologists operate x-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images, which involves preparing and positioning patients correctly while ensuring minimal radiation exposure. They are responsible for producing high-quality images, managing image archiving via PACS, maintaining patient comfort and safety, and educating patients about the procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology school and hold current Registered Technologist credentialing (R.T.(R) (ARRT)) in good standing, along with current state licensure. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross is also mandatory.
