The role is responsible for the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing, which includes collecting and processing laboratory specimens and performing clinical laboratory testing using both manual and automated methods. Flexible 8-12 hour shifts varying between day, evening, night with weekend and holiday rotation. PRN staff are not guaranteed specific number of hours. They help cover PTO, leaves of absence, and staffing shortage.

Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met.
Collect laboratory specimens, as needed.
Process lab specimens and perform clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods, in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
Demonstrate skill in use of equipment relevant to position.
Demonstrate critical and independent judgement in decision-making and problem-solving.
