The MRI Technologist II operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment and related systems to perform MRI exams, collaborating with radiologists and staff regarding patient testing while strictly adhering to MRI safe practices. This role involves providing direct patient care across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings, including high acuity cases like trauma and ICU patients.
require a High School Diploma/GED and graduation from an accredited Radiology program, along with current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and Pennsylvania State RT/MR certification upon hire or within one year. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential medical information maturely and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

Ability to maintain a high degree of maturity and exercise individual judgment in working with patients, equipment, and personnel that are involved in MRI exams. Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
